Students of kindergarten, third and fifth grade of the Mejillones Educational Unit of the city of La Paz, are winners of the contest “Let’s care and improve our second home”, activity organized by the establishment’s management education and the Sumaj Huasi Foundation.
The activity is part of the socio-productive project of the Mejillones educational unit, to which the project Improvement of hygiene, sanitation and sanitary infrastructure conditions financed by EDUCO and implemented by the Sumaj Huasi Foundation has been articulated.
The contest consisted in the elaboration of trash cans of recycled material for the classroom, elaboration of posters with a key message about good hygiene habits, personal hygiene and the uniforms of the students were also evaluated.
On the other hand, Juan Carlos Suntura, project coordinator of Sumaj Huasi, said that there was a lot of spectacle for the students and parents “19 courses of the initial, elementary and secondary level have participated, the winning girls and boys took great pains with their parents to comply with each of the instructions which has allowed them to be the winners, “said Suntura.
Winning girls and boys received their prizes consisting of certificates of recognition for teamwork and creativity as well as a shelf of books per classroom.
